Vancouverism, George Stanley style

Poet's book-length poem thinks local, goes blogal with review-articles on Dooney's Cafe and Transmontanus blog spot

2009.02.09 — It would appear that print reviewers don't know quite what to make of Vancouver: A Poem, George Stanley's book-length opus published last year by New Star Books. However, the World Wide Web is taking notice, and Googling the book's title now returns more than 500 hits.

The freshest are Stan Persky's lengthy review article on Dooney's Cafe, the Bloor Street-based webzine created by Brian Fawcett, and Terry Glavin's rave on his lively blogspot, Chronicles & Dissent.
